Ode to Tape
O ye gentle roll,
Work well and strong
Be what I wish ye to be,
Whatever it may be
Be a sword, shield, or axe
Or a halberd black as night
Perhaps a wallet, or perhaps a flower for a lady?
Just don’t be a disappointing lump.
If ye be a repair, hold strong.
If ye be a sword, never tarnish.
If ye be a flower, keep your appeal
Tape, ye may be anything.
Anything and everything.
Holder of Heaven and Earth,
I beseech you, Great Wheel!
Keep Heaven and Earth together!
